We are delighted that the Government has announced that there will be another Inland Water Rescue Boat Grant later this year. SARA has benefitted greatly from these in the 5 years in which the initial scheme ran; grants from this fund paid for SARA Lifeboat 1 at Beachley and the new SARA Lifeboat 2 at Sharpness, as well as some smaller items.
We are grateful to all our local MPs for their support for our previous applications and for making the case to the DfT for the scheme to be continued.
